Situated on the site of the former British Polo field where Ghana's independence was proclaimed in 1957, this memorial park features a splendid Marble Mausoleum, serving as the final resting place for Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and his wife, Fathia Nkrumah.

Final Destination
Our last destination is the Legon Botanical Gardens, nestled within the University of Ghana in Accra. Owned by the university and jointly managed by the Department of Botany and Mulch Company Ltd., this expansive garden spans 50 hectares of natural vegetation, established in 1950. Serving as a recreational haven, it features various amenities such as playgrounds, canopy walks, and serene outdoor spaces with lakes. Visitors can engage in a plethora of activities including children's playground fun, high and junior rope courses, canoeing, bird watching, fishing, cycling, and exploring the woodlands.
